  2. in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!"

  3. John 19:26-27: When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home

  4. I see Mary as a person of faith because with everything in her life she is so understanding and so humble in the things she does. Like when the angel Gabriel came down from heaven to tell her she was going to conceive the baby Jesus and knowing the consequence of being unmarried and pregnant that she would be stoned to death but she took that risk knowing no matter what she was blessed with God’s son Jesus and I think from my thought that she was more understanding than that then the consequence. And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me holy is his name.” Luke 1:46 - 1:49 46

  7. I see Mary as a person of faith because she is a loving and gentle person. Also Mary looks after us and guides us through life. Also another reason is that she went through many hardships during life watching Jesus get crucified and watching him get hurt. Luke 2:19 - But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

  8. Q1: how do you see Mary as a person of faith? Refer to a bible passage.

A: I see Mary as a person of faith because she is a very loving and humble person to us, as she acts like a mother to us and guides us to be better people and live in faith just like when she said to the angel Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

  12. Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Jesus. I see Mary was a faithful person and loving, kind lady who is willing to help everyone who is indeed of her help. Being the mother of Jesus is a huge responsibility and would face many hardships and she took on the role therefore facing many hardship, I believe this makes Mary a very caring person.
