  2. one catholic organisation is st Vincent de Paul there mission is The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society. There vision is The Society aspires to be recognised as a caring Catholic charity offering “a hand up” to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.

The St Vincent de Paul Society was founded by a 20 year old student named Frederic Ozanam in 1833. It was established by like minded individuals who wished to put their faith into action. This compassionate outlook, enthusiasm and vision continues today in Australia. There are thousands of people who every day share their time, care for humanity and energy to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people all around Australia.

  3. Every day, Caritas Australia and our local partners are supporting people in need around the world. We are assisting them to break free from the cycle of poverty, regardless of their ethnicity, political beliefs, gender or religion. Our work includes:

Responding to emergencies such as the food crisis in East Africa.

Implementing Disaster Risk Reduction strategies, particularly in the Pacific Islands, where villagers are experiencing rising sea levels.

Helping farmers with sustainable agricultural practices, such as the Farmer Field School in Nepal.

Building water catchments in regions like Ethiopia, so communities have access to fresh, clean water and are able to grow crops.

Providing access to education and workshops in regions of South-East Asia, so vulnerable people can learn new skills.

Training rural midwives in quality antenatal, delivery and postnatal care for women in rural areas.

Alleviating poverty in Indigenous Australia through projects such as the Tjanpi Desert Weavers which generate an income and provide sustainable development opportunities for women in rural communities.

passage from the bible: give a man a fish
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.

  5. Explain how ONE Catholic organisation promotes and supports Catholic values in their response to those in need.

A: the catholic organisation I have chosen is the st Vincent de Paul organisation which is a charity that helps out less fortunate people than us it also promotes and supports catholic values to those people in need as it is being a good Christian. the st Vincent de Paul society help and follow Jesus mission by helping the poor and treating them with love, respect and joy they also help them out which god would of wanted us to help out those in need and treat them like everyone else just like the quote
    john 15:12-15
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
This quote symbolises how as Christians we can help others and the poor together as a Cristian group as it says someone lay down his life for his friends this means that us a group can follow like Jesus and help the poor and less fortunate.

  7. Across Australia, many children benefit hugely from support provided by vinnies, many of there services to children come in many forms, e.g. kids camps, homework tutoring. this relates to the bible passage " but continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned" - 2 timothy 3:14-15 this shows us that we should put chlidren first and there education.

  8. The group that i have chosen is Caritas Australia. Caritas has been helping underprivileged people for 50 years now! The types of country's that they help are
    south Sudan
    Bangladesh
    Bolivia
Caritas has been trying to get rid off these main objects in these countries
    Food security
    HIV and AIDS
    and many more

When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy[a] came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.

This particular bible passage helps me to understand what Caritas are doing to help these people. Just like what Jesus did the Poor Blind Leaper. Basically Caritas is trying to be like Jesus and trying to heal the people who have H.I.V and AIDS
    Thank you!

the catholic comunity has bin trying to spead the word of god to all of the more unfortunate countrys in the world. The catholic comunity tries to help those in need people who a disabled or ill and are to sick to apply for a job and just starve to death or die from lack of water.

Each person is created in the image of God and called to communion with God. Therefore, all human life is sacred and every human being has an innate dignity. This understanding of the human person is at the heart of the values that underpin Catholic education.

  13. Explain how ONE Catholic organisation promotes and supports Catholic values in their response to those in need. Use a biblical passage to demonstrate the link between the works of the organisation and Catholic values?

One organisation I have chosen is Caritas. Caritas is an outstanding organisation that helps and support many people around the world who is the poorest of the poor. Caritas help many people from over 30 countries; some countries Caritas support are South Sudan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Australia, and Central African. Caritas help give water, food and toys for the families who are poor and need help.
    Bible passage:

    Acts 2:42
This bible passage is about the Apostles giving their goods to the less fortunate. They were thinking of other people then themselves. The apostles care about the poor since they gave everything they loved to them. This passage relates to Caritas Australia because they help people less fortunate just like the Apostles did.
